Hi Kevin,
Long time no see
Got a question to you. I've been using your sitemaps since the dawn of times, and all was dandy. However, I recently checked my google webmaster tools (and I frankly don't remember when was the last time I checked it before that), and it did not show any sitemap over there. I went ahead and resubmitted.
Well, here is the error it gives me after the resubmit:
Quote: | Sitemap is HTML
Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead. |
I am at a loss. Probably something changed on G side. Can you help me to fix this?
Thanks,

Hi Misha,
Nice to hear from you!
I haven't checked my sitemap in a while, but did so now and all is well.
It's possible that some content is malformed. If you view the sitemap, you might see this by accessing the XML version in your browser. _________________ |

Hi Kevin,
Well, I carefully eyeballed all the file and did not find anything that stands out. Then I took this sitemap and compared it to a typical WP sitemap, that google takes without a problem. The only difference I found is in urlset. Could not post the code here, so essentially nuke sitemap gives references to google and version 0.84, while wp sitemap references sitemaps.org and version 0.9. Could it be I am using an outdated version of nukeseo?
Thanks and regards,
Misha |

I haven't updated nukeSEO, so your version is current. We have a request to add the sitemap as a default module in RavenNuke, so maybe after I finish nukeSLIDERS and nukeSPAM, I can look into updating the Sitemap module. |

Just to clarify, which URL are you submitting to Google?
yoursite.com/modules.php?name=Sitemap&op=Google |

Also, make sure the sitemap module is visible to all users. Noticed on the site in your signature that "You are trying to access a restricted area." when trying to view the google sitemap.. that would explain the problem if that is the site in question. |

While Kevin is in fact a genius (by my standards), it was spasticdonkey who had the answer. Good catch spastic! _________________ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!
